The Junior Interior Designer & Architect at Infinite Rwanda supports our high-end design team in crafting
extraordinary spaces that showcase refined aesthetics, meticulous detailing, and seamless functionality.
As an integral part of our creative team, you will contribute fresh ideas, detailed execution, and adaptable
support across diverse projects.

Requirements
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in developing creative design concepts and mood boards for presentation.
Draft detailed space planning, zoning diagrams, and furniture layouts.
Produce accurate architectural and interior drawing packages under senior supervision.
Generate 3-D visualizations and Building Information Modelling (BIM) renderings to professional standards.
Research and propose suitable materials, finishes, and FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) aligned with client needs and wants.
Support the creation of brand-aligned colour schemes, textures, and lighting strategies.
Collaborate and coordinate effectively with structural, Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP), and specialty consultants.
Assist in preparing detailed material take-offs and maintaining schedules for procurement accuracy.
Participate in site inspections and assist in snagging and workmanship quality checks.
Attend client workshops, design charrettes, and meetings, providing supporting documentation and presentations.
Contribute to value-engineering proposals, maintaining the integrity of original designs.
Maintain accurate records of design changes and manage revision logs.
Ensure compliance with international building codes, Universal Design principles, and Rwandan local bylaws.
Support the creation and maintenance of essential project documentation.
Assist senior designers and project managers in budget tracking.
Engage actively in ongoing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
Conduct market research on luxury trends, materials, and emerging technologies.
Uphold Infinite Rwanda’s brand guidelines across all project activities.
Day-to-Day Tasks & Deliverables
Regularly update and revise design drawings.
Maintain updated material boards and project palettes.
Participate in daily site walk-throughs with senior team members.
Support client follow-up communications and track design-related queries.
Maintain daily logs of design issues and RFIs, assisting in their timely resolution.
Assist with coordination meetings and documentation preparation.
Monitor and communicate progress on assigned tasks daily.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in architecture or interior design from an accredited institution.
Working towards professional architectural registration is advantageous.
Interest or basic certification in sustainable design standards (LEED, EDGE, WELL).
Minimum of 2-3 years experience in architecture or interior design, preferably on high-end projects.
Core Competencies & Technical Skills
Creative and conceptual thinking abilities.
Proficiency in BIM software (ArchiCAD), Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering software (Enscape, V-Ray, Lumion).
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
Basic knowledge of material properties and lighting design fundamentals.
Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
Reporting Line
Reports to: Senior Interior Designer & Architect.
Primary Documents & Reports
Assisting and developing design briefs and concept narratives.
Preparation of specification documentation.
Maintenance of FF&E schedules.
Accurate revision and RFI logs.
Participation in site-inspection reports.
Preparation and assistance in client presentation decks.
Working Conditions / Location
Primarily studio-based, with approximately 20% site visits and mock-up inspections.
Occasional local travel for project meetings and material sourcing.
Required compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during all site visits.
Required to maintain perfect attendance, participation, and productivity while working remotely.
